1) Complete the technical lesson to learn about making selections with masks and using fliters to create effects.
2) Look at examples of Barbara Kruger’s layered photographs. She combines image with text to talk about ideas that are important to her.
3) Think about ideas that are important to you and what kind of images and text might help you share your ideas.
4) Look at the example of a “digital” photocollage that you will be making for your Project 2.
5) Find or create 2 photographic layers for your collage.
6) In Photoshop, select the part of the photograph that you want to use in your project.
7) Save your project often.
8 ) Add effects, styles, and filters to each layer to create a bold and textured image.
9) Add text to your image.

1) Complete the technical project on making selections.
2) Find or make 10-15 images of the same subject matter.Consider variety in scale, perspective, and ratio.
3) Take selections from one or many images of the same subject. You may choose to take selections that are all the same size to make a grid; or choose a variety of selections that will overlap.
4) Use what you have learned about changing the attributes of a photo to adjust each layer in a creative and interesting way.
5) Think about the overall composition and shape of our picture. Also consider how your eye moves around the image.
